Why the “Verified teacher” badge exists
A student picks a stranger whose class they will attend. The “Verified teacher” badge shows that the Aura team has checked the teacher's documents. It helps students choose with more confidence and helps honest teachers stand out. The badge does not rate the quality of classes and does not replace student reviews.

Which documents you will need
- Photo. Your photo, so that a student recognises you at the class.
- Identity. An identity document, to make sure a real person runs the profile.
- Certificate or studio recommendation. A yoga teacher training certificate, or a recommendation from the studio where you teach.
- Agreement with the rules. A confirmation that you have read and accept the service rules for teachers.
The documents are used only for the check and are not shown to students. How we process personal data is described in the privacy policy. We will announce the exact upload process before launch.
Profile statuses
- draft: you fill in the profile and gather the documents. The profile is not checked.
- pending_verification (“under review”): you have sent the documents and the Aura team is looking at them.
- verified: the check is passed and the “Verified teacher” badge appears on your profile.
- rejected: the check was not passed, for example a document is unreadable or the data did not match. You will learn the reason and can send the documents again.
- suspended: the badge is withdrawn for a time, for example after complaints or a breach of the rules. The status can change after a review.
The path is: draft → pending_verification → verified or rejected; a verified profile can move to suspended.
What is public and what is not
Students see: the “Verified teacher” badge on a verified profile, your photo, name, description, yoga styles, schedule and reviews.
Students do not see: the documents themselves, your identity document data, certificates and your correspondence with the Aura team, the “under review” status and the reasons for a rejection.

Can I get verified right now?
No, verification launches in the coming releases and we promise no dates. You can publish a profile and a schedule without the badge.
Is verification required to teach?
We will announce the terms before launch. Today you can publish classes without it.
Will students see my documents?
No. Students only see the badge on a verified profile. The documents are used for the check and are not shown.
I have no certificate. What can I do?
A recommendation from the studio where you teach will do. We will confirm the list of documents before launch.
What if I am rejected?
The rejected status means the check was not passed. You will learn the reason and can send the documents again.
