What a live online class is
A live online class happens at a set time, and the teacher leads it in real time. You see the teacher, they see you, and you can ask a question or get a hint about a pose. A recorded lesson can be watched at any moment, but nobody watches your practice and nothing is adjusted for you.
Classes are published by the teachers themselves, so the schedule differs from teacher to teacher. We do not promise a number of classes: open the Online tab and see what is there now.
How to choose a style and level
If you are new, start with a calm style and a class marked for beginners or all levels. Read about Hatha for slow, steady practice, Vinyasa for flowing, more athletic classes and Yin for long, quiet holds.
Check the description and the duration in the class card, and pick the class that fits your day. If you are unsure, try one class and compare how you feel afterwards.
What to prepare at home
You need a yoga mat, a free space about the length of the mat on each side and decent light so the teacher can see you. Wear clothes you can move in, keep water nearby and place your phone or laptop where you can see the screen from the mat.
Join a few minutes early to check the link, the sound and the camera.
How Aura helps
Open the Online tab in Aura, choose a style and book in one tap. The link to the class is shown only to those who booked, and the bot reminds you in Telegram before the class and tells you if the teacher moves or cancels it.
The time of a class is given in the teacher's time zone, so compare it with your own before you book. Booking is free for students.
